Hi all, Just joined the forum so thought I'd say hey!. I'm based in east Kent (Herne Bay). Been a home racer for a little while and joined Viking SCC last year. I've been thoroughly enjoying club racing (shame it's all on hold at the moment) and it has taught me a lot. Looking forward to getting back to it
Must be something in the water.
Following George Russell's stellar performance in his Mercedes debut I would just like to point out that the sleepy little backwater of West Norfolk where I live has produced a pair of F1 drivers. George was born and raised in King's Lynn as was Martin Brundle. Ten miles down the road another famous driver, Jim Russell (no relation to George by the way) lived his entire life in Downham Market. Can any other small market towns match this?
Thought I would get the 2021 thread up and ready as 2021 is fast approaching, my how 2020 has gone fast even during all this pandemic, lockdowns and restrictions.
Let's hope that 2021 will be even better for the world.

Hey!
I am new to this hobby but have read what i found about how to adjust a slot car. I bought a Slotit Nissan R89c to try magless racing. With the body on, the guide flag dont move freely, without the body the guide moves super smoth. The motor wire sems to interfere with the low front end body. I do not manage to adjust the cables so the problems disappeares.
Has anyone had the same problem with that modell or similar? And if so, how did you solve the problem?
Sincerely
Jorgen A
Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knows anywhere in the uk that stocks the Carrera app connect unit? Have looked and don’t find anywhere that has one in stock, so thought someone on here might know something. Thanks in advance
There has been some excitement about this new event being hosted in Germany. (I was going to say 1:43 excitement but its full-scale excitement LOL). Its quite limited in concept and deemed suitable for "beginners". The basic premise is that the 2016 Carrera Go!!! Porsche 911 GT3 is the only car option and it must be fitted with a specific 3D-printed chassis. Standard running gear must be transferred from the original chassis although Ortmann tyres can be fitted.
The chosen cars are fairly scarce on Ebay UK and the prices tend to be high. I bought mine directly from Carrera-Toys.com at just under 20 Euro and with free-shipping to the UK. This is the second item I have bought from their web outlet and beaten buying in the UK. Lets hope they continue the arrangement after 31-Dec-2020.
