Classes for the second meeting of the year, January 25th were:

1) Owner/driver - NASCAR/American Muscle cars
2) Club provided - Motorbike & Sidecar combinations
3) Owner/driver - Saloons

However, a big black cloud hung over Chesterfield, 160 miles north-west, where one competitor had spent the previous week putting together what he hoped would be a competitive NASCAR and upgrading his favourite Classic Mini ready for the fray, only to be laid low by a bug going round the locality, which her indoors decided would be unsociable to pass on   .

So, here are the two that didn't make it:

   

Nice of the guys to give him a wave though  (emailed on the night!)   

   

NASCAR and American Muscle hit the track ....

   

... and are away in a blur.

   

The first class-winner of the night is - Vic, with the two Marks and David close behind.

   

Lined up ready for the Club class - the sidecar combos.

   

... and somebody's come into the first turn too hot with the yellow combo. Looks like he's going to cause havoc on the outer lanes as the others barrel into the turn beside him.  

   

Don't they look GREAT!

   

Class-winner here was Mark R.

   

And for the Grand Finale - owner/driver Saloons. Just need someone on Race Control and they'll be off.
