2026 Season - Rnd 10 - Sat Oct 3rd

Thirteen regular club members turned up, with a further four guests coming along for a bit of a taster session. Hopefully we’ll see them again. 

Support race: Club Ninco Mclaren GT sports cars.

         

Mark J, Mark W and maybe Shaun? kindly gave up one or two of their heats to encourage a couple of unnamed guests to have a go, so the results are a bit skewed. Nevertheless, racing was very competitive with lots of ‘incidents’.  Avoiding the many crashes and coming home in 1st place was Mark Raine, who also set fastest lap for the class. Next two to make it to the podium were David and Vic’.

   

 

Main race: Owner/driver Sports GT, Le Mans and Can am cars.

 

Phil and Helen, from far away Woodbridge, took part in the Main race but being such a long evening Alan W and Tim had to leave for home before all the heats had run. 

               

There were some very quick cars, with those from NSR, Slot-it and Thunderslot being the fastest of the bunch.
 
                         

Racing was close. With seconds to go, in a desperate last-ditch attempt to make up places several cars didn’t quite make the final corner in their heat. (See photo.) 

               

As usual, keeping out of trouble was the key to a good result and Vic’ did just that with his red Thunderslot Mclaren, to bring it home ahead of Ben and new threat, Chris.
