OK I have not used this carbon fibre filled filament on slot cars but have made a lot of parts for fast RC aircraft with it.
The filament is made by Proto Pasta, try it you will pleased

I am trying to resurrect a couple of second-generation Monogram 1/32 chassis, those with a drop arm.
These wrecks are missing the suspension parts, I've tried to add weight to the swingarm for compensation.
Maybe I should fix the arms rigid instead?
Would appreciate seeing how you guys go about with this.
Cheers Carver
This was entered in the Roncole Verde 1/32nd class . The work on the rear dzns is just stupendous. Even though the car is original, and issued with an atlas motor at the timeme, it is terribly wide and thingie like which list it points in concourse.
However do not let that detract from the workmanship of the mechanical fans.
I have a video of it running... when I work out how to upload it , I will
Hi all,
Some years ago I tried to make working wing lights on Slot.it's 4WD Audi e-tron quattro R18.
First using the original non-transparant wing. That turned out to be too weak...
Then I drew a new wing and had it printed by Shapeways (https://www.shapeways.com/) in a transparent material.
That material turned out to be too brittle for the hard slotcar life...
Now Shapeways has a new material. SLA Plastic - Accura® 60.
I hope this transparent plastic is stronger than the plastic from my first attempt. Anyone familiar with this plastic material?
One of these days I hope to get a print in the new material.
To be continued...
The printed wing...
2 small LEDs on each side of the wing...
The end result... (no lights on the left car)
Here I used an original transparent wing from Slot.it...
Hi all, this officially marks the start of project NASCAR Trucks.
It will be a major undertaking for someone with my limited abilities, so it will be slow ... heck it might not even reach an end
I have obtained these as a basis to start:
They are Ford F150's and from what I can tell looking at the top of the grill level with the top of the lights, I believe these are the 2012 model ?
These are actually 1/35th, but as I am not going for an accurate model, more of a passable imitation of that years NASCAR Trucks that's not an issue.
My current idea for the build, is to chop off the extended cab, re-attatch the rear window section extend the bed to around 1/32 scale nascar length.
Then I want to split the body and widen it to 1/32 scale nascar width.
Next, chop off the sides below the window line, and replace with a flatter side to replicate the nascar bodies.
Then add front spoiler, bed cover etc to complete the look.
How much of that is achievable by yours truly is anyone's guess, but that is what I hope to achieve.
Oh and the bodies as they stand weigh in at 41g, I would like to get that to under 30 but with all the work required they may even end up heavier
I know I will be chopping stuff off, but I will also be adding stuff, so who knows what it will weigh !
If any you guys can A) clarify the model year, and B) post any pics of the same model year nascar trucks you can find here as a reference to help me, that would be fantastic
It is quite amazing that a request for a new forum on Slot Racer for 3D printing is a go do it, and lo it appears, whereas on the other UK forum a similar request is met with a flood of angst. Don’t know who requested (I can guess) but well done to that person and to Slot Racer for setting up this new forum. Hopefully it will encourage the slot racer 3DP community to contribute.
To jolly things a long below is a control tower I knocked up for the Digital club Falcon Raceways based in Basildon near London (there on FB here).

I need a pair of H:O or similar size tyres for a scenery project, the smaller and thinner the better. Used examples are fine. Has anybody got a couple going spare please? Postage costs etc naturally reimbursed.
A bit of advice please?
Is anyone still using the ‘Lap Timer 2000’ software by Gregory Braun?
I appreciate the software is no longer supported as the poor chap is no longer with us.
I don’t have it hooked up to a track yet, but am doing some basic testing in 64-bit Windows 10 but there seem to be a few glitches? Assuming it’s Win-10 incompatibilities?
Any ideas what the ‘Track Call’ feature is for & what does it do?
Thanks in advance!
Although it's come about through unfortunate circumstances, I might have a chance to build a permanent slot track.
There is nothing certain about this, and even if it does happen, it will be a while before I can start. But that doesn't stop me from having some fun thinking about the possibilities, and planning what I might be able to do.
So here's my current plan....
The layout will have a large, two lane, analogue rally/race track based on Olivers Mount, a four lane Autograss track based on Humanby Raceway, a single lane rally track, or delivery route, and a railway line.
I may be getting a little over ambitious, but at this stage that's allowed.
I've started a modest little diary which I hope to keep up, if and when this progresses. For now it's just planning and research, so we'll have to see how things go.
