Lights for Scaleauto Audi R8 help?
#1

Hi guy's,

I want to add lights to my Audi R8 I'm building, I have found these from a GT Porsche.

Will these work and is the wire simple for someone who doesn't like electrics? if so I'll buy them.
Cheers
Tony

I can highly recommend the z-machine kits from Slot Car Union in France, 2 wire connection and the tiniest LEDs you'll ever see, post to the UK is fine, and (touch wood) I haven't been stung for customs/VAT

Some of their sets even have working brake lights & exhaust flashes

Scaleauto or Scalextric?

I don't think Scaleauto chassis are designed to accommodate those types of lighting bars.

I love puttering with gears

Scaleauto mate.
Pendle sell a slot it set but it has a little circuit board etc and I don't want to stuff it up.
You saying that makes me think your right as the pendle ones are individual.

I might just have to spend the £13 and hope I don't bugger them.

Wiring is easy - just solder to the motor terminals but.............

the lights are the right spacing for the Scalextric car, it is extremely unlikely that they will shine in the right place for any other car and you will have a job fixing them to the Scale Auto chassis.

Thank you Brian, I think after reading Jeremy's comment I had a better look and realised I should probably by the one's recommended from Slot.it.
When I get them I will double check instructions and then probably triple check on here with you guys when I solder them.
