Have resisted a Ninco Ecurie Ecosse XK120 for too long with the inevitable result that prices escalated a lot. Decided that as I had been a good boy throughout 2022, an EE XK120 should join my other EE items.
Didn't arrive until 4th day of 2023 so here it is.

Indeed, have had the Liege-Rome car for a long time and used it in a few proxy events. Nice long guide to rear axle distance :-)

I run a Liege-Rome in our Standard Classic Class with lead ballast and rear tyre swap.
I also have a #36 Blue that now has a podded SW chassis which was a challenge to say the least on width with 8.5mm wide tyres...the spur gear had to have the boss cut back and the only way to fix it to the axle was solder (tin the axle, slide the spur on, soldering iron on the axle again to melt the solder...push the spur in place...going nowhere now).

A bargain buy from Pendles 'Special Offers' section, particularly as I'd been watching the eBAY BMW - on eBAY! - at almost the same price, used and unboxed!
The Eaton Escort has a particular resonance as my Dad used to be the Quality Control Manager at Eaton Axles in Newton Aycliffe, many years ago.

I'm afraid that one IS going to be a shelf queen - well, maybe.

Nsr 720s
Sideways capri.
Both for racing club nights at nascotwoodslotcarclub.co.uk
The capri is a new partner car in my racing pair for sideways group 5 class. It will partner my other capri while I continue to work on the celica.
The celica shows much promise but can't yet hold the pace of the M1s and Capris.
The nsr 720s replacement nsr c6r Anthony Morato corvette which is pretty but can no longer get hang with the big boys in the NSR GT class.
The 720s will partner my hydropdipped c7r.
Was looking for inspiration at Swindon swap meet yesterday but sadly found none.
Came away with
- a 12 tooth slot it pinion for a sideways car to be used at londonslotcarclub.com
- 3 porsche group c bodies for GasMonkeys to prep for an upcoming digital oXigen event.
Not much of a haul I know but it was great to see some familiar faces.

It will likely be a lean year for my slot car collection, but the first one of (very) few landed thanks Pendleslot:
There will be another Fly 250 GTO partner for it in due course.
Plan is Amato chassis for the pair and find out what level of grip those Pendleslot tyres have on them for a home wood track
Also arrived in the package, several parts to go into this years planned rally proxy cars, funded by winnings from the EIS proxy
Oh, I did get a 1:1 "slot car" but I can't upgrade the gearing or motor ... however, the wheels and tyres possibly ...
