Shenanigans Raceway Race Results - Johnno
#21

Race Report
This week see's us return to Shenanigans Raceway.

Not all racers were in attendance this week, Paul is still pre-booked and this week we again introduce Warren to the group at Shenanigans Raceway. Chaos and shenanigans reign, as expected both these occurred many times throughout the afternoon, tempers were raised and some shouting had to be done to be heard above the other chit chat, I have to say, today's race marshalling was much better even though at times we had only one with Johnno on dual duties with the track call and racing.

Anywho, this week saw various racers taking out the podiums, which is fantastic, the Most Outstanding again was Joe, he made himself several podiums, just proves that a decent controller really does make improved resu

New Lap Records were obtained by Johnno (multiple records at that) even Warren was taking Lap Record with his Trans-Am.

The Leaderboards and Podiums were again obtained by all racers across all events. Congratulations to everyone on your Leaderboard, Podium wins and great racing.

As is natural for myself, I performed a couple of 'coming through' deslots, even Joe got in on the action.

Chaos Report Headlines
The chaos certainly reigned today, with Johnno preforming the Dukes Of Hazard once again appeared, not as bad as some weeks.

No guides were harmed this week. We did see Charlie deslot even at a snails pace, we ended up deciding that it was the track joint causing the car to hop and deslot going straight ahead.

Without further jibbering on, here are the Leaderboard, Podium photos, Race screen and the Heat screen for racing at Wed 24th Nov, 2021 at Shenanigans Raceway.

All Class Lap Records for Shenanigans Raceway are up for grabs in 2022. Why?

Constant comments that the lap records are wrong due to the Track Call Button and the power cut delay with cars running on which 'shortens' the lap, which is correctable (ignored) under the RMS, so to end this commenting I'm deleting the current Lap Records.

After having
gone through and checked the RMS settings, in conjunction with Dave, the RC developer, my the settings have been and ARE correct.

Below are the Lap Records up-to the year ending 31st Dec. 2021.

It has been near on five weeks now since we have had any racing within our group during this busy time, hopefully we will return February to some kind of normal racing, hence why there has been no race results for our group.

The group have had a vote on rules and regulations for 2022 with interesting results which should make the 2022 racing interesting, no doubt there will be new lap records every meet for some time until things settle down.

Thanks for your reading and understanding. Go Fast and Keep it in the slot.

Cheers
Johnno

Sorry everyone, no racing results again this week as there was no racing again this week, looks like next week will be the same.

Thanks to Paul for making the trip and offering Tune & Test afternoons instead. Been great and also testing and confirming the RMS is correctly working on the track.

Hopefully just for now Johnno. With all the Covid distruption in Australia, I'm amazed you've kept a brand new and small group going so successfully. You should be proud.

Who knows what opportunities may arise when things get back to normal in NSW? It'll certainly give the option to publicise slot car racing, take a track to local community events etc. That could be the basis for NSWSCG 2.0.

Covid certainly hasn't helped things for any industry the world over. I will keep posting the track and hobby in the local social media groups in the hope to attract more people.

I'd like to and have considered taking the track to local events, donating any collected monies to the charity, just getting assistance to move and operate the track on the event day is lacking :( still trying to sort this one out  Bigsmile
