There's a new class at the club - F1 - but there's nothing to say what era. 

I know they won't be competitive being front motored, magless and with narrow, NARROW tyres - but I'd rather be having fun racing these than a modern F1. Being a used FB Marketplace purchase I got both for less than the price of one of the latest F1 cars - and apart from a little braid fraying they look like new. 

I'll be removing the magnets, installing soft copper braid and adding weight if there's room. (I haven't had a look inside yet.) Other than that, a little lubrication and tyre truing all round, will be about the limit of race prep' I think?

I rather hope the Maserati will be the better of the two, looking quite a bit lower but I was surprised to find this and the Vanwall have identical wheelbases and very similar tracks, although the Vanwall's is very slightly wider at the rear.
