SLOT CARS wall art

Inspired by the excellent and clever art of Barbara Galińska and shamelessly copied for my own enjoyment, I present this version for Slot Car lovers.
Change color at the appropriate layer for contrast. Use whatever colors you like!
This was a lot harder to do than I expected.
It's taken me a while to get this one to corner without leaving the slot.
The good bits.....
Scaleauto guide, aluminium pulleys, Slot.It wheels - plastic front, aluminium rear with Avant Slot inserts and urethane slicks, brass bushes on front axle. I glued a mag. behind the guide.
The bad bits.....
Due to the early issues with the car going straight-on at every corner, the bull bar and aux. lamps got smashed to smithereens, practically on day one.
After all that, I've decided it doesn't really match my collection criteria. I've had the grief, now you can enjoy the fruits of my labour.
£45 posted to UK addresses.
Has anyone had any success re-painting Matchbox-era SCX cars? I've been trying on-and-off for years to do a repaint on a Subaru Impreza, and when I get to the stripping/prepping/priming the body always distorts.
I've lost count of the failures I've had, but I've got at least 3 spare chassis now.
I've taken the plunge and bought yet another donor car for one final attempt. I'm wondering if just abrading the factory finish before priming might be the answer, although Lord knows how I will get into all the crevices........
Any thoughts/suggestions gratefully read.
Back at the beginning of last year there was a video announcement from Fly of their new offerings for the year. In amongst it were a Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworth, a Subaru Legacy RS, (and, if my memory serves me correctly, a Datsun 240Z).
I have an inkling that I read, somewhere, later that these very same images were being touted by another slot manufacturer - Scaleauto, possibly.
Does anyone have any updates on these releases?
A funny thing is happening with the 1/25 Boulvard Cruiser class at the club where I race. Everyone is now trying to locate and build cars from their family history. Up next is a car I recently built for a friend that grew up around a '63 Galaxie 500 in brilliant orange. Clearly, he's a fan of old Fords.
I left the interior and the final touches of chrome penwork up to him to complete.
The kit.
Test fitting the painted body to the chassis.
The completed car. It runs like a rocket!
Thank you very kindly for looking.
Ken
