Hi all new to this Hobby I say hobby as I plan to make it that. I had a set of Scalextric as a kid my two sons had a set now both in third early 30s. One of my sons as got my grandson as set for Christmas , but quite by chance I came across their old track & cars in loft the other week .
That triggered the fought about getting myself a new setup. So I have bought myself a basic starter pack the Gulf Endurance set . Wow things have moved on magnetic's on the cars also the digital side of thins as well. I have a space in the loft of around 20ft L X 4ft 6ish w. I will be Haddington more track to lengthen a circuit. That is the plan over the next few months or so. Photos of old cars & track along with new cars I have bought and more on the way.
Graham.
The second of our five-date Winter Series is coming up fast! This one is Nostalgia-themed - featuring Micro Scalextric Street Stock, Nostalgia T-Jet, Nostalgia 4-Gear Funny Car - and some Nostalgia Micro Scalextric 2019 match-racing. Qualifying is on Tuesday 8 December, racing on Wednesday 9 December and all the coverage is right here on SlotRacer Online.
The full regulations and format are in the Winter Series Preview thread here.
The Track: The Rock County Eighth Mile is a seven-foot timed strip (1/8 mile in true HO scale) made from the new 2019 Micro Scalextric sectional track. Cars must be fitted with braids to run on this track. Power for the first event is 12 volts, 4 amps per lane. Power to both lanes is triggered by a single switch firing a 2-channel relay board. Timing is Trackmate Drag Basic. There is a two-foot shutdown with dynamic braking and a well-padded catch box.
Sending cars: Aim for your cars to arrive in Brighton by the previous Saturday so they can be quarantined and then registered for qualifying on Tuesday. Please also pack in a small box (max height 7.5cm if possible) and pay for your postage online so no-one needs to go near a post office. These races are designed to be full-on social distancing events that are accessible to everyone in these difficult times and can continue during local or national lockdowns.
How to enter: Add a reply with your interest and the classes you'll be entering - one car per class per person. Family members and friends are very welcome to enter too. I will message you with the address to send cars to. You will need to pay for return postage. Otherwise there is no race fee.

Greetings folks. A friend of mine makes bodies. Times are hard these days. I'm merely trying to help a friend.
The quality of these body kits is second to none. Super light, and well made.
Here's the link. Only 4-kits remain for this batch.
https://shopdarts.square.site/product/BK...66?cs=true
This is how they look finished. Thank you very kindly for looking.
If anyone doesn't get their kit in a reasonable time. Send me a PM. That's what friends are for.
I have a Truespeed controller for Scalextric SSD use, and bought a SCP-2 about 6 months ago for oXigen use (but yet to take it out of the box!).
I have belatedly discovered the need for an analogue controller. After undertaking a quick cost/benefit analysis, I have gone down the slot.it Home Use analogue module route for the SCP-2 on the basis that there will be some common features between both modes and as such, it will be a means of forcing me to get to learn the subtleties of all the adjustments. I also couldn't think of any time when I would need to change modules at an event, so that would not be a compromise for the modular approach. And the SCP-2 seems to be well regarded and on a par with the Truespeed analogue offering (MT-1?), which I could always move onto at a later date.
Santa also has a '3 banana plugs into a jack plug' converter for me in the hope that it will allow me to use the SCP-2 in analogue mode by just plugging it into my basic Scalextric analogue 'Sport' powerbase.
Let the controller geek in me out!
Hi
Does anyone know if there has there ever been a 1992/3 Porsche 911 2.7rs slot car in white with blue highlights available?
Thanks
Rob
Hi all
Most of the Scalextric track I have is from the late 70's, early 80's and isn't in the best of conditions so thought I'd spend a WFH home tidying it up.
Before I started I got distracted and thanks to Bourneagainracer, took the plunge and ordered a load of Sport track (Thanks for the details Jeremy) so I've only cleaned the track that's a little different and having sentimental value that I can add to that when it turns up
Here's the finished result after a morning of scrubbing, picking, de-rusting and tarting up.
Most of the rails on these bits of track were solid brown with rust and the black plastic was minging frankly but I suppose after nearly 40 years stored not very carefully I would be too!!
Tested after cleaning and have good power through all the pieces and the cars run great on it so a nice productive day (albeit not working as much as I should've been)
Scalextric C1413 ARC Pro Platinum GT Set. RRP £499.99. Available now.
Just in time for Christmas, the ultimate Scalextric digital set has returned... The 'Platinum' digital sets go back ten years. They originally included the Advanced Powerbase and six super-resistant cars and wired controllers. The latest incarnation has the ARC Pro digital system plus four high-detail GT cars and wireless ARC controllers. If you are serious about buying a (near) complete digital system, the ARC Pro Platinum GT set is perfect. All you need for the full six-car ARC Pro experience is two more GT cars of your choice, two C8515 digital plugs and two more ARC wireless controllers. The set already has two of the P9300 digital power supplies included.
The set contains a decent sized 9-metre (30-foot track) with two lane changers and a (right-hand) pit lane with space for four cars. The latest version of the ARC Pro powerbase links to the wireless ARC controllers via 2.4GHz radio and to the ARC race management app on a smart device via Bluetooth. Multi-car action with lane changing is available as soon as the powerbase is switched on - and race modes, lap timing and the numerous features and simulations can be up and running within ten seconds of launching the ARC app on your compatible smart device.
ARC Pro also has an analogue mode option (selected via a physical switch on the powerbase), giving traditional one-car-per-lane racing for non-digitally-chipped cars. Almost all the features of the ARC app are available in analogue mode, with pit stops taking place on the powerbase straight. Of course, lane changing is not possible in analogue mode.
There's a detailed guide to using the ARC app here on SlotRacer Online: slotracer.online/arc-pro-guide
The four cars in the set are proper high-detail GT cars with working front and rear lights. The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and Ford Mustang GT4 are both new models for 2020 and these two liveries are available as individual cars...
The other two cars are 'set-only' liveries, although the Wynn's Mercedes GT3 has been available as a limited-edition Scalextric Club exclusive model (it is now sold out)...
Scalextric haven't released a picture of the Bentley Continental model yet. The Bentley is the only old-style sidewinder model in the set and will - like the Mustang - need a little tweaking to be on the pace of the Aston and the Merc. Or just give the trickier cars to the more experienced drivers...
Even at the RRP of £499.99, this set is a bargain. Adding up the individual components - or upgrading a more basic ARC Pro set - will set you back nearly £700. However, I expect to see the set on sale for £450 or less - Scalextric Club members can already buy it for £449.99 from the official site. Wonderland Models and Jadlams currently have it for the same price.
If you are starting from scratch, my tip would be to add some outer borders and barriers to the corners - all are standard 'Radius 2' pieces, so that should cost too much. Otherwise, the ARC Pro Platinum GT set has everything you need to enjoy the best of ARC Pro and Scalextric digital.
Thanks to the Scalextric team for sending us the photos.
