Morning all
I have finally taking the plunge and bought myself a resin printer. I borrowed a Anycubic Photon of a friend and played with that for a couple of months and decided to get an Anycubie Photon Mono X2. Its the Mono X with a few tweaks (little bit bigger screen and resolution)

I have printed a couple of bodies - (photos soon) and some drivers and also some miniatures that I found on the 3D file sharing sites.

I am super impressed with the printer. So far I have use a green castable resin (came free with printer) and Anycubic Tough Resin and Anycubic Craftsman resin.

I have had good results. I think the tough resin by itself might be a bit too flexible for a body. What have others found? I printed an ERA body (I modified the file from Nimrod) and post curing found I could squeeze sides together - that may be ok but may be an issue with handling / marshalling etc. I plan to experiment with a mix of the craftsman and tough resin today to see how that goes.

If anyone would like to share tips, settings, resin mixes etc I am keen to learn.

cheers
David

SRC re-released their Tergal-sponsored Porsche 914/6 GT "night edition" Chrono. The yellow/green 914/6 was driven by the Spanish Fernández brothers in the Rallye Monte Carlo 1971. It was the fourth attempt of Juan Fernández to reach the finish line of the Monegasque event. The Spanish mountain champion was unable to succeed and it would be his last rally outside of Spain.

It is clear now that the SRC Porsche 914/6 in Chrono version is a winner.
The technical specification is the same as that of the Gulf Rallyslot 3 version, except for the Ultragrip Black Pat RN0104 rear tyres and the Max Black Pat soft MAX100 RN0115 spare rear tyres.
The Tergal Porsche 914/6 reissue is only available on the SRC website:

Up for sale is a Slot Classic CJ-22 Deep Blue Ferrari 250 GT SWB (Short Wheel Base) '60 Gran Turismo class winning 1960 Le Mans 24 Hours car of F. Tavano and "Loustel".

One of the rarest cars and very hard to find, handmade resin slot car in scale 1:32, number 48 out of 400 made.

The car is unused so is in brand new condition and has been in storage since it was bought. The box has some minor signs of wear though (see pictures).

Thanks for looking

This car is owned by a clubmate who hasn't been able to race for 20 years due to severe health issues. He brought it to the club last week, it's absolutely mint and never been on a track.

When they do come up for auction prices are seen around the £500 mark

It's on ebay...https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265901627783

We’re back at the Barn on Wednesday 5 October for some championship-deciding HO racing…

WHO Mod & Gen6 Race Night - Round 10 of the 2020-22 WHO club championship

Regulations can be found here: https://www.whoracing.org.uk/rules.html

Doors open at 6.30pm - please don’t arrive earlier... unless you’re part of the set-up crew, of course! And we do ask that all racers aged 12 or younger bring a responsible adult with them.

Race fees: £3 adults, £2 under-16s. Terry will be taking any cash or bank transfers on the night - and he’s working on the pre-pay subscription for next season.

Club Cars & Controllers: Our AFX Mega-G+ club cars remain available – each of them stays on its coloured lane. We also have a big box of DS, Parma and Ninco loaner controllers to borrow one for the whole evening. There is no extra charge for using either the club cars or the controllers.

Covid precautions: Alas, Covid is on the rise again. Over the next few months, we ask that you don’t come to the Barn if you are feeling unwell with Covid or Flu-like symptoms. Inside the Barn, wearing a face mask, practising good hand-hygiene and giving each other space remain non-negotiable requirements. We will keep at least one door open for ventilation, so do bring warm clothing… We will also have hand sanitiser and spare masks available if you forget your own. Any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Here's what the top 5 of those Mod and Tuners championship tables look like going into the final round...

There's potential for some drama in both classes Sun

I'll post the track plan at the weekend.
