Hello all
Any one heard any news about 2024 cars from Carrera or Scalextric and others.
I had a look online and found threads from around this time or earlier talking about 2023 cars - but so far no discussion about 2024
cheers
DM
I made a video of Col's Suzuka as a teaser type video. Mixed 2 soundtracks for feel, but not sure if they are there or not as YouTube says its copyrighted. so hard to find any sound without copyright

New to the website, looks like a great place to get information. I live in the U.S., state of Missouri. I'm 75 years old and have been racing slot cars since 1963. I have raced evry thing from H.O. to 1/24th scale on commercial tracks. Love the detail of the 1/32nd scale cars. Just moved and hope to set up a small 55 to 65 foot 2 lane Scalextric track soon.
During summer we move to a house close to the sea and i cannot carry my workshop and print farm there so had to keep me busy with something else:2 new tracks ,special stage and dual purpose.Ii took me more than i expected so i could not finish the tracks before moving back to Athens but they are operational, detailing to be done next summer.
Special stage.
Dual purpose:it can be use as a single lane special stage or as a 2 lane track. The video shows the special
stage use
Now the Mati Rally park has 4 stages ,here is the older 2 made of styrofoam
I took the plunge and delved into the wood routed slot car track building world in 2006 after watching Luf Linkert's videos (oldslotracer), I bought Luf's track building kit and made it up as I went

3dp Chassis Pick & Mix.
Read the post by Savage GT and the desirability of pod designs etc. so thought would share some basic pods (and a chassis) here on Slot Racer for everyone to use.
Below is a simple ‘Pick & Mix’ chassis system with 4 different inline pods.
Boxer
S can plastic end drive
S Can can drive
Slimline FF050
Using the parts shown, a chassis can be put together either as separate items or ‘welded’ using CAD or Slicer into the base plates and the wheel base adjusted to suit. Included is the front axle support, over/under guide holders, body and chassis posts and some wheel spacers.
Example chassis.
This example has printed parts either screwed of glued to the top face of the chassis plates, and a cut out added for guide clearance using one of the holes to get the cut out central. The two plates are pushed together which can be done either in CAD or using the Slicer software i.e. Cura. The chassis posts can be glued in position then used to spot drill through and create the openings in the plate.
Cheers
John
Here are some photos of my new portable green scenic track, named "Slot Rally Hill".
Track length is 15.5m and the overall dimensions are 2.88mx1.6m when using all three segments.
After removing of the middle segment, the track length can be reduced to 10.6 meters.
Slot Rally Hill contains a slot car club with a 1:1024 scaled track of Slot Rally Hill itself.
For the scenery, extensive use was made of sea foam, which was grown in our own garden.
I hope you like it.

Overall view. Slot car club ¨Slot Rally Hill¨.
An intersection. Green landscape.
Anyone after nice, grippy rubber for their Scalextric Camaro Z/28 should try Pendle’s PCS 32229T.
Picked up a set at the Winter Slot Car Market and they work a treat!
