Britain's oldest slot car club is Oaklands Park in Birmingham.
After many years at the Harry Mitchell Centre in Smethwick, the club was forced to relocate in 2012 and can now be found in an upstairs room at
Steel Spinnings Ltd, 94-96 Steward Street, Birmingham B18 7AF
We run every Friday night with doors open from approx 7:30pm with qualifying due to start at 8:00. The race night rota covers a wide spectrum of slot racing from hard body through to BSCRA.
The track is a 100-foot 4-lane routed wooden track with computerised race control system.
A warm welcome awaits anyone who wishes to have a go but please be aware that the premises is a working factory and restrictions are in place to protect the business.
We also have a facebook page 'Oaklands Park Model Car Club' which is updated regularly.
