I'm looking for a bodyshell of this car to build to add to my Can Am collection.
I know that Vanquish made one but it is 1/28th scale or thereabouts and Betta have a Lexan shell but I guess it is a 2.5" handling shell so again not suitable for my requirements.
I really want a fibreglass or resin shell. Is anyone aware of any Company or individual who makes them?.
Regards
Alan

Hello Alan,
Changing Gearz in the USA were producing one but I don't know if it happened. They produced a Chaparral fan-car which was well received.

The AA bodies version is way over scale, I have started to cut it down but gave up.
Nimrod has provided the 3d files to print the body out, to several people on another Forum.

Just had another look at the AA BRM it is not too bad, it was the March 707 that was way out of scale.

Having seen the AA item I thought your statement was rather bold... the 707 was a wide car though.

Thanks Guys the GC version looks excellent but a fully prepared cars costs $140 dollars via Electric Dreams and then postage from the US to UK plus Customs, (anything you buy from electric dream seems to attract a massive UK customs charges). I'm really only looking for a bodyshell.
The cG site does not list anything being available except their range of chassis via Shapeways, and their Facebook site says they only like to sell via dealers. I guess that kind off rights off that option.
I'm still waiting for a reply from Dave at AA cars, probably my best bet.
I just wish More CanAm cars were produced apart from the obvious Maclarens.

Dave at AA has got back to me and is going to produce a car for me. He has added it now has metal Carb trumpets and it's own decal set so it looks like I can set about building my own car very soon.
I also spoke to Vlad(Nimrod) on HMR and he is sending me all the files he has for 3d printing of the Can Am cars he has produced masters for, so I suppose I will have to look into the "black art" of using this equipment....
Many Thanks to you all for your help on this project.
Regards

I have printed Vlad’s March 707 ready to fill and clean up.
Cannot seem to get the BRM to print so far. So will do the 712 next and see how that goes.
I have most if the Can Am Car dimensions if you need them.
