This Fly Models Lola was an analog car converted to digital. It was one of my first cars to get modified to run better. Gluing the motor, CB Design LMP wheels with new tires, new guide, different interior, a few other things and... LED head and tail lights! It has been driven a lot and has battle scars to prove it! The head light covers are cracked as is the adz end from rear-enders! It's a good runner! The real deal Lola is just about my favorite race car! Youtubes of them being driven on the track are highly recommended viewing!!!
Here are more pictures. The stock cockpit was removed and replaced with a bit of styrene sheet. It was painted black and has a new driver and fire extinguisher attached. You can see them being fabricated on that stick. It weighs a few grams less than the stock item which can always be returned to its rightful place. I'll get some pics with the LED lights glowing.

The Fly Lola is a nice looking car.
There are lots of pretty liveries too, although they are becoming more difficult to get these days including the Bongrip car.
The Fly Classics are a favorite class in our group.....T70s are just one of the battle-worn cars. We run all of them, so good to see yours.
This, I believe, was my second effort of modifying an 'off shelf' car to try and get to run better. I agree with your sentiment about having a certain minimum as a driver. Yessir! There are a few liveries available. I have another 'Bon Grip', a green 'Piper' and a couple others in my 'stash'. Here are some pictures showing the LED lights and new wheels. The bright front lights hide the damage the nose end has endured! The other fellas 'fear' this car, now!
