It's a runner and drives nicely around my little Scaley Sport test track...not sure about the rear tyres though, might be Evo Ultras (which ball-up for fun) but not labelled as Evos...
...Oh the rear wheels are 3D printed in PLA Tough with a M2 brass collet in the middle...much testing to follow at the club

If that was mine I'd glue the tube into the pod where the bearings normally go.

I've printed another set of wheels and put standard wide Revoslot tyres on...
.. .testing tonight, not just the two rubber compounds I've got on these new wheels but also the durability of the wheels themselves and whether the grub screw will stay tight or whether the plastic stretches (that won't be a good thing as the wheels will come loose).

Testing last night with Revoslot tyres and NSR Ultragrips showed they weren't going to be competitive and too inconsistent...put a set of 10mm wide normal original Ultragrips on from another car and it was at least 2 tenths faster and much more consistent...
...but the 3D printed wheels didn't come loose
The NSR Ultras I bought a year ago, 11.5mm wide, not labelled as Evos but I was suspicious because the original Ultragrips were shiny, these weren't which made me believe they're Evos but purposely labelled without the 'Evo' bit (possibly to fool me into buying them believing they were original tyres)...they're crap!...ball-up for fun.
But the good thing is the car (Fly Corvette C5R) is really nice to drive with real original NSR Ultragrips.
Going back to Revo tyres, they seem to work really well with the heavy Revo cars, I just didn't want to add loads of ballast to make the car that heavy.

I used some of Garth Frudd's aluminium printed wheel inserts in a proxy a while back ( he is on Greggs world wide slot car chat )
they held firm , the wheels were easily trued and balanced and did not deform at all
my car did no better or worse

, (as usual) my tuning is the problem
but they might be an option for you Kev

The wheels I printed are fine, the tyres are the problem so I've gone back to trying a pair of Thunderslots off another car.

So in order to boost the Revoslot entry numbers, the RoadRunners Team have elected to go 100% Revos.
I had issue with the Carrera Bentley anyway, having bought a anglewinder 3d chassis I had anticipated fitting a motor in that manner, but I could not see how the gearing could be accommodated without doing some serious surgery with the body work.
So next best thing was the Revoslot Toyota One, kinda looks abit like the Bentley EXP, and my Lotus Elise will have to wait on the shelf for another day although I think the Lister Storm was a great substitution. So all my eggs in the Revoslot basket now
