Bit of a surprise at my local hobby shop (Time Tunnel Models) this morning - SCX/Scalextric Advance has reached the UK along with SCX/Scalextric Compact.

It has... the Advance sets finally arrived with the latest shipment from Spain. I'm hoping to have a play at some point. The UK is a difficult market for non-Scalextric digital systems to break into, but good to see some retailers giving it a go. Not a bad price point - although the set will need the Bluetooth adapter (not available in the UK yet) and the pit lane to experience the best of the system...
The new Compact sets look rather tempting! My favourite 1:43 track system + wireless controllers... nice
