We usually do it by hand but I think the dishwasher will get used tomorrow - not sure why we have it really but laziness comes over us all at times. When I was designing the kitchen, I had a 450mm space to fill so it just made sense to bung a small one in. Probably help if we have to sell for any reason too.

I think a pre christmas tipple is in order so I will raise a glass to you all and hope tomorrow goes well and the ghost of King Alfred stays away.
