There is a small model shop in Alicante, Spain; which still have a couple of new McLarens and Shadows in stock.
I bought a couple 3 years ago when visiting, and they still had the rest when I was there in October this year.
For a small shop, they have a decent range of slot product, including new Ninco and SCX from before the last changes of ownership of those brands.
He seems to have fresh stock flowing through all the time.
MecaModel - About 3 minutes walk from the central train station in Carrer Arquitecto Morell. The owner speaks some english.
So for UK slotters - about 30 direct flights a day to Alicante from at least 6 different airports, as little as 10 quid each way, about 16 Euro for a taxi from the airport - or rent a car for even less in winter from Record Go, and have a cheap weekend away while buying some slot goodies.
The main local slot club is about 3km away, and the one in nearby sister city Elche 20km away, both meet Friday nights.
I recommend staying close to the harbour; where there are buckets of restaurants and great shopping, and spending your time around the harbour front there.
A 30 minute walk or quick taxi gets you to Plaza Mar 2 in the direction of Alicante Castle, 3 floors of cheap shopping with all the main Spanish brands from Zara on down.
Benidorm, - if I dare use the word in public, - is 30km north, but I shudder at the thought. Show some class and avoid the place.
