Race report and results - 14th May 2026 -
.
A good turnout tonight with seven of us racing what was always going to be a night of fast racing with Sports and Moslers.
.
Sports
.
As we were all racing NSR Moslers in the second event the first lot of racing was anything but Moslers.
.
Three Audi R18 LMP’s, a Porsche 956 Group C and a Ferrari 312PB made up the Prostock class.
.
One scratchbuilt car and a Revoslot made up the Open class.
.
There was a gradual spread of results through the field with close racing at times.
.
NSR Mosler ‘Club Challenge 2026’ #4
.
Four ‘official’ entries and three ‘unofficial’ entries but every one a NSR Mosler.
.
We had a pure ‘racing incident’ that happened so fast that blame was wrongly apportioned. The slo-mo showed it was exactly a 50-50 incident as both cars travelling at full speed side-by-side in the left/right/left chicane collided as the rear of the car on the middle slid over the front end of the car in the outside lane causing the car in the middle lane to deslot at speed into the path of the car on the outside lane. Sadly some things were said that were unnecessary and apologies have since been given.
.
Apart from braids wearing out (it always seems to be on one side only), the Club Challenge Moslers have had zero repairs in over four years.
One car had a motor replaced last year but that’s all.
The tyres that are on the cars were put on for the first race in 2023, NSR Evo Supergrips, glued & trued, no tyre treatment whatsoever but they grip amazingly well as they have polished to a shine.
.
It may be time for a motor swap as another club member is seeing a decline in performance.
Considering the amount of racing they have done, these have been amazing cars, introduced in January 2022, there’s not even one missing wing mirror!
.
There were some amazingly close races with these tonight, well there should be as they’re all the same besides the paint scheme..and we all share the same controllers to race them.
Talking of controllers, it’s noticeable that no two people use the same settings on these shared controllers, with only sensitivity and brakes to adjust. You'd think we’d all find very similar settings… we don’t, they’re wildly different.
.

Next week is Targa Florio night using all four tracks in the club room, one car each, 3 minutes on each Rally stage then finishing off with a three lane round-robin on BallaYorkley.
