I don't know him but this is a simple system using LapTimer 2000 software. The sensor box is connected to the laptop via the long obsolete parallel port so you are going to need to obtain a 20 year old computer running XP in order to use it.

I probably have such a computer in my loft, I know I have the cable as it's one I used on an old sign plotter.

Surely the cable connection can be made to have a usb on it? it's all the trickery in the sensor box etc that is the clever bit I'm assuming?

There's gotta be some clever guys on here that can do this?
