The sun-ray picture was by coincidence... normally that window is blocked off with a piece of insulating board, as in the summer the sun shines through at the hottest part of the day. 
Few weeks ago I removed the board... last week I was cleaning my attic when I spotted the ray of sunlight on the perfect spot. 
If I didn’t clean my attic I would never saw that because I rarely are there in the afternoon. ?
