Nice but....why this particular car?

I know we all like different things but my history with making my own bodies leads me to choosing one of them or maybe the BRM Alfa. We are thinking of slimming down our possessions as we are approaching 'that' age and moving to a smaller house so the question is becoming real for us.

Is there a particular link to the real car for you?
