A while back I ordered motors from China, including one that was 6-12 volt, high revving and small.
Issue was diameter of armature shaft. 1mm . Where to get pinions.
Alexis very kindly offered to print some for me. They are awesome and with some widening of the hole they fitted perfectly.
Many thanks!!
Now I need to organise motor mounts.

Seconding the compliment to Alexis, he is an enthusiast helping enthusiasts.
The subject of pinions for 1mm motor shafts came up in this week's world-wide slot car chat. These tiny motors are becoming popular, although they can be a bit "wild". A source of motors and pinions was identified as "Lucky Bob", based in Milwaukee, USA. Their web-site is a bit complex so an email is probably easiest -

Lucky Bob's is the HO emporium most of us UK HO racers use - another is JAGs Hobbies. If there are a few bits you need, there's usually an order pending - so just ask.
However, there's also Barry at Slot Cars Direct in Derby - he is the go-to guy for HO in the UK. In terms of pinions to fit a 1mm shaft, you're looking at:
The new Micro Scalextric chassis also has the FN20 motor which runs great at 9 to 12 volts. No parts are available separately, but a rolling chassis would give you the motor, pinion and crown gear. More about the Micro chassis here:

There's also the older HO open cans - which were standard in the old Micro cars. Barry sells superior AFX versions of these. There have been used in a few 1/32 models over the years. The 1.5mm diameter shaft takes a standard HO pinion and the motors are less 'wild' to drive.

I agree with Andy about Barry at Slotcarsdirect. He is very helpful and post’s items the same day, but he is on holiday as from today for two weeks.

Thanks for the info all
A question as I have no experience with HO parts - if one used the HO pinion - what contrates do you use to match the pitch?

Good question. HO contrate / crown gears are naturally smaller in diameter (8 to 11mm) and fit a 1.5mm diameter axle (Tomy AFX is 1.55mm).
They are available in 20 to 27 teeth - the standard ratio in most RTR HO cars is 7:25.
Most HO pinions are 4mm in diameter, plastic and have 7 or 8 teeth. For the 1mm shaft, your only choice is 7 teeth (unless Viper produce an 8T - which they might).
For a 1.5mm shaft you can also find 7, 8 and 9 teeth in steel and 8 to 12 in brass. Metal crowns are available.
The widest selection are the Wizzard gears on Lucky Bob's site
here. Bob is also a veteran 1/24 scale racer, so worth asking.
