Cupcake Raceway Feb 20, 2025
#1

Eight friends got together for wings, and a race broke out.

Thank you very kindly to Cupcake for hosting another fun evening.   Thumbup

The evening started out with the Boulevard Cruiser class. 14k slow motors. Corvettes and other sports cars need not apply. These big cars would just nerf the little cars off the track.  Cool

Pre war buggies were up next (as the host calls them). 14k slimline motors for these old antiques.

Slot.It DTM's are always fun to race.

Now that everyone was warmed up. Unlimited Can-Am was a great way to finish off the evening. Fast and furious all the way to the end!

Any Can-Am body/chassis with any motor and gears. There's a chance that one of the cars might be a ThunderSlot.  Bigsmile

Thank you very kindly for looking.

Thank you very kindly Kevan. I'll let my friend know.

I'll try and remember to take a few closer pics of that car the next time it races. It's actually two-tone silver/aqua green on the sides.

Hi Kevan,

The Futura is my car. It's based on a Polar Lights Batmobile static kit running on a Slot.it HRS2 chassis with a 13k BWA motor.

I wanted to build something different for our Boulevard Cruiser class and this car fits the bill - classic Detroit show car vs. the production based models most guys run (save for the Green Hornet) and a plastic chassis vs. the metal chassis used by most of the guys. Here are a couple more pics of the car:

It's rolling on Slot Car Corner wheels with Slot.it Ford GT40 inserts. The headlights, driver, and interior are just bits I had in my parts box. It's taken me a while to work out the gearing for this motor but I've finally got it running pretty good.

Thanks for checking out our club post.
