Watson Indy -
KensRedZed - 3rd-Jun-23
It's time to dust off the machinery. It's been too long. I need to make a new class of car (Indy-500) with a front motor drive system. The Watson Indy was a great car in it's day.
It originally started out as a static kit from AMT.

I found a really cool metallic orange 1:1 version on Google images.

The project begins with Tamiya metallic orange.

Clear coat next. Then the chassis. More to follow.
Cheers,

I did not know that kit existed.

Thank you very kindly, Kevan and Carver.
It was around 19 degrees celcius yesterday, and zero wind. A perfect opportunity to clear-coat the dull metallic orange.

Now it needs a chassis.

Nice...and not a normal everyday car seen on race night.

Several years ago the Toronto Canada area clubs' raced a class based on he EJ's Hobbies Watson roadster kit,.....the kit consisted of a nicely molded clear plastic body, with a gorgeous 4 livery decal sheet, and a decent (if basic) brass chassis,..........most of the quick guys binned the stock chassis and built a brass/wire chassis.
Here is one of the few cars I built for that class.
