GB Track - Charlie - 17th-Mar-23

I have the chance to buy  GB Track car, not a make I know,  any info on them ? Ta

RE: GB Track - munter - 18th-Mar-23

I always assumed that they were cousins of Fly ..... but maybe I have that wrong.

RE: GB Track - chrisguyw - 18th-Mar-23

Fly launched the GB Track line to have less detailed bodies, and therefore to be less costly than the Fly line..........however, this was not always the case on dealer shelves..........mechanically, for better or worse, they were/are the same.

Everything one likes or dislikes about the Fly line applies equally to the GB Track line.

Cheers

It’s a Chevron B21 (green) Vallelunga 1972, still in box Andy’s probably used a couple if times, a few years old maybe ?

As Chris says, it's a Fly car so be prepared for that.
All that aside, I find the Chevrons to be quick and quite competitive.

Thanks , good info, I know nothing of fly cars so I will have a think and research a bit, might be better of spending £15 more and getting a new NSR …??

RE: GB Track - Charlie - 31st-Mar-23

Well I got the GB Track/Fly Chevron, motor felt a bit lethargic so in my wisdom I bought a Scaleauto tech1 20k motor for it, I also cleverly tried to fit the wrong pinion, which didnt fit !!    and ended up removing the original one from the mabuchi motor. so now I have somehow managed to end up with a quite quick car, at least better than it was, but in the process I upset one of the back wheels so now it doesn't run true, not the tyre..I think I will need a new axle and wheels, maybe slot =it grub screw type , what do you think ?

RE: GB Track - Kevan - 31st-Mar-23

A wise choice...you'll need a SlotIt (or other manufacturer) spur gear also  Thumbup
