Last night we had 20,000+ "guests" on the site, which obviously led to problems.
I uploaded the fix and things have now calmed down a bit.
This is not a complete solution, but it should help while we work things out.

Strangely, I've not had any problems on my laptop but seen quite a few on my mobile.

Today I'm getting "429 Too Many Requests. nginx".
It's happening 90% of the time I try and log on.

I've had zero issues with the site. The only thing I can think of is I never log out, shrug

Same here, I never log out and had zero issues

I also never log out. It won't let me connect from time to time. When I can connect again, I'm already logged on.

Had lots of issues when on W7 but none since changing to W11 2 or 3 months ago, a change I'd been resisting for years.
My local computer shop made it painless.

Resistance was futile and wasted, you would have been just as happy under W11 as you were under W7. Thankfully it looks like MS have learnt their lesson with Vista, W8 and W8.1 I can't see them making that huge mistake again, but time is still young lol

You think Windoze users have problems!
As a Mac user from the time they were introduced, it has always been the case that updates had been thoroughly checked out - had to get past Steve Jobs - and they always worked perfectly.
Nowadays, every release is immediately followed by security updates and fixes. I can understand the need to counter new threats but sometimes it's the next day.
And now, on top of it all, I'm stuck with a constant reminder to update to the new all singing, all dancing version that integrates AI into the system. I don't want, like or need any help with using my computer ta! The whole idea of an assistant to open a prog or write a letter seems to further diminish my engagement with the world. I thought that my brain was supposed to do the heavy lifting but it seems that I am supposed to just sit (as in 'sometimes he sits and thinks and sometimes, he just sits')
As far as the site is concerned, I have had just one event. Otherwise it's been fine.

Gordon, any AI is there purely as a useful tool, your computer won't do anything unless you do it and AI will only be involved if you ask for it.
I think there's a misconception that you install AI and you sit back and watch... it doesn't work like that
