In Brave, Firefox and Chrome, it just gets hung up on 'maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com' and eventually, after about five minutes, it loads the page with the same layout as at the top of this thread!
I'm getting a bit tired of this damned ghost!
Very frustrating Gordon.
But I haven't changed any coding on the forum for months, nobody else has reported any problems, and I can't find any references to apple users having a problem with bootstrap.
It sounds like one of the stylesheets is not loading properly.
How long have you been having this problem?

What OS version are you running? and when was the last time you updated the browser? What version of Firefox are you running?
The only reason to use more than one browser is if you visit "questionable" websites. Safari and Firefox are all you should have installed. Perhaps Chrome also if you do coding. I would remove every browser except FireFox and Safari.

This is the second time for this particular problem but you may recall I have had the occasional glitch before. I know it sounds daft but having to use a second browser makes me glance at the site less often. Lazy I guess

High Sierra 10.13.6. The latest that my Mac will run.
I use Brave because it is the fastest on this Mac - I understand it's based on Chrome. All the browsers I use are up to date. This is the only site I have this problem with.
The only questionable site that I visit is SFI

Brave tells me that is insecure and I shouldn't go there!

It doesn't sound daft at all, it's complely understandable.
So, how long have you been having this problem?

End of July this year. Then it cleared but now it's back again. You didn't change anything and, as far as I'm aware, nor have I.

Yes, I remember the last time, but how long has it been happening this time?

Ah sorry....three or four days now.

Thanks Gordon.
Next questions. Have you tried using any other devices, and if so do you get the same problem? Also, are you aware of any updates that have happened recently?
Whenever it next happens can you please try to gather whatever information you can, perhaps try using the Firefox console, which is under the menu button > Web Developer > Web Console. If you could copy any info there it may help.
The problem I have right now is not just that I'm looking for a needle in a haystack. It's also that I don't even know which haystack it's in, or how to recognise it if I do find it. Without more info, I'm also working in the dark, and that's a risky business while the site is, as far as I know, working reasonably well for everybody else.
