HI peeps,
Does anyone know the instructions for adjusting the brightness level of the red light on top of the startlight please?
I swear that I have done this vefore but can't remember where I found out how to do it.....?

I'm not a 3D designer or a maker, just an occasional consumer... And I'm wondering if anyone has a design for a gantry that holds a mobile phone or tablet over a slot car track?
Scalextric are releasing a new timing app in July / August and have some cardboard 'hardware' bundled in a new Rally set scheduled for August...
I took these images at the UK Slot Car Festival a couple of weeks ago. The Scalextric team member who demonstrated the app to me agreed that a 3D printed gantry would be much better - although they've also used Lego to build a pretty sturdy gantry.
Essentially, the app is set up so a line on the screen lines-up with the centreline on the track below - really simple. Obviously, there's the issue of different phones and tablets being different sizes - hence the Scalextric gantry having a simple, flat top. Also, different track systems are different widths - and some may use it on a routed track.
Is there anything out there already - or is this something that's of interest, given that this app is likely to be taken up by a lot of home racers and at slot rally events?

Modified Ninco rail with sensor, electronic new board and USB cable.

It works together with all versions of the Ninco Digital power base units. Perfect to be paired with Pc Lapcounter software. It allows you to play with all the different options offered by the software (free practice, GP, championship, fuel consumption, lap or time trial races, starter traffic lights, disqualifications for black flags and many other things; all with editable sound effects at will). All this was never been possible with any of the Ninco power bases. In this case the power base (all models) is used to connect the controllers and supply electricity to the track, only.

Following on from our successful Can Am event in April at the Wirral Slot Car Club we are holding another Can -Am Event in North Wales ( see poster for address ) .
“It’s a Small World” is a tourist attraction in an area of outstanding beauty. Mike Williamson has build a fantastic venue where every type of slot car track is beautifully displayed and all are usable, his centre piece is a wood 6 Lane track of some length and offers a challenging and smooth flowing race track for selection of skilled racers. So come take a weekend away and fit in some slot car action, also the bonus of getting to know your Apex Controller and getting the best out of it. Steve Hills (TRUSPEED) will be delivering a talk and offer some coaching tips on the Apex or any controller in TRUSPEED s range.
Please contact myself or Mike to get further details. More updates and pictures will be forth coming to show the delights of “ Its a Small World”
The recent Land Rovers from Scalextric/Hornby seem to have an interesting drive-train with both axles driven by spur gears.
Can anyone please share photographs that show the details of this drive-train arrangement?

Hi Guys,
can you use a inline pinion with a sidewinder Crown gear?
I'm planning a couple of scratch build sidewinder's and don't know if there is a difference or not.
I'm assuming there must be something otherwise why would they sell them as they do.
Cheers
Tony
