wow, cant believe i decided to jump down this rabbit hole, lol.  When I was a kid , had a Strombeker track with a huge banked curve that came from Montgomery Ward.  Lots of memories, several neighborhood kids had tracks and we went from house to house, usually Mothers telling us we were to loud.
Im old now, in my 70s, most my childhood friends have passed on but Im itching to make a race track.
I want 1/32 digital track and was set on Carrera but one of the first post I read on another forum was ...Im firing Carrera for some other digital equipment.  But those Carrera cars. such eye candy, lol.  But you gotta start somewhere, right??
I will build a 6ft x 8ft table, in two sections with rollers and have seen a couple on You Tube that was really kewl.  I am hoping for a decent long straight to start race into a bank curve.  Would like to include a big wide enough bridge that would have lanes running underneath it , to seem cars are going into a tunnel, pitt stops , hair pin if possible and digital lane changers.
Appreciate all advice and tips,
John

I should build myself a Mini for the Dakar Proxy I thought,

Luckily I had this Remonslot 2019 X Raid JCW Team MINI body kit in my draw  Cool

I used an old Mitoos chassis which previosly had been run under a Jaguar I -Pace body, however I am waiting for a replacement pinion as the original one has split.

We had our first dedicated MRSlotCar races recently. It took a while for everyone to get up to speed. But, we're off and running now.

These cars run great!

Just before the race starts. Vanski holds up a new C1 Corvette and says "Ernie sends this as the prize for the winner of the race". We all had a moment of panic knowing we should have spent more time preparing. That's just how things go.

Everyone thanks Ernie for the fantastic prize!

Over the last few years I have built multiple WEC cars from superb  printed suppliers.

I love the WEC at the moment, so am trying to build up a grid. I thus bought 2 Scaleauto kits and the Scaleauto BMW.

So what change of heart am I talking about! With NO malice at the superb work done by the home printing suppliers, the cost of the body, parts and decals are higher than the current cost of the superb Spanish suppliers. I just cannot see my way forward in future to not buy these complete kits-

The Lambo and Alpine are on my bench at the moment

The superiority of the Scaleauto BMW and my awful attempt (another story) that cost more is apparent in the pics

Your thoughts?

We dodged the heatwave, but our July Mod & Tuners night did clash with England's first knock-out round match of the World Cup. However, with one of Simon's best ever track designs in use, the sensible choice was to head for the Barn...

Over to Gareth for the race report...

Hello- I am into all slot car scale cars.  Currently I have a digital Carrera 2 lane roadcourse in my garage, a Carrera non-digital roadcourse and a 2 lane tyco roadcourse in my bonus room and a 4 lane small Tomy roadcourse in my office.  I used to make custom HO resin bodies years back.  I am in a small local Carrera digital racing group half an hour drive east of Atlanta out I-20.  My grandsons enjoy a Carrera 1/43 temporary dining room roadcourse from time to time.  At some point I will probably sell some stuff!

Here are some Kokomo Electricar pieces. They were made from 1928-1933 in the USA. The front arm was spring loaded always to the right so it made contact with a 2 rail fence. The fence was connected to a transformer where you could control the speed. You could also rearrange the front arm so 2 vehicles could race against each other side by side.
